The basic principles we aim to achieve:

Our Goal

To design software to have a familiar and intuitive feel.

To ensure our designs help you meet or exceed the requirements for current best practice.

To allow you to obtain current information about all of your systems whenever and wherever they are located.

To achieve interaction between organisationally and geographically separated individuals.

To continuously improve our software technically, functionality and performance. Often based on comments from our users.

To focus on what is needed or easy to use, not what is easy to program.

Flexibility

As far as practicable our software is designed to allow you to enter your comments or build your own inspection & monitoring routines, meeting your exact requirements not our prescriptive assumptions.

Support

Joining you in remote desktop sessions is easy so we do not abandon you after software installation. In fact as we host the applications we don't need you to install much at all.

Upgrades and developments are applied by us as part of our on-going service plans, we don’t keep asking you to put your hands in your pockets for new versions.

We offer access to consultants with a full understanding of ACoP L8 and water treatment skills.

Costs

Charging schemes are based on the number of units (Building Record Systems) you need minimising your initial capital investment.

History

Early in 2000 Gary Crosby (Quickcom) and Alan Greaves (Greaves consultants Ltd) brought together their skills, computer systems and water hygiene, respectively to create a software package designed specifically to meet the guidance in ACoP L8. In 2001 Graham Thompson (Oculus Consulting Ltd) joined them bringing sound chemical water treatment knowledge, closely followed by David Greaves (Compco Ltd) who brought a fresh programming approach. The practical experience of this partnership was invaluable in starting from a ‘blank sheet design’. Now more than a decade later and several new versions of software (and even more upgrades and fixes) later, we have 1000's of sites risk assessed using our software by many companies and 1000's of sites operating our record keeping software for on-going monitoring.

Future

Software sadly becomes obsolete almost as soon as it is finished, with the continued release of new operating platforms, frameworks and hardware L8MS continues to develop new software and a big new release is under construction. But that is for the future…..
